HISTORY/PERSONALITY
The McAdams name has always been known to carry the weight of power and money behind it. The first McAdams came to America like other young men with the prospect of making a name for himself in the land of opportunities. Unlike those others, he carried more than just a suitcase of clothes and a dream as he disembarked to begin anew. He was a shapeshifter and would blaze a path in the business world that would engrave and secure his family's legacy for time to time.
With success came the need for someone to carry it on and continue to grow and expand their globe of influence. A piece of land was purchased in northern Washington state and Cedar Grove Manor was built. As the years passed, alphas came and went with one mission in mind. Keep the McAdams on top as the strongest pack in the Northeastern part of America. Shifters who were not part of the pack were labeled as Mutts and hunted to keep in order. Those strong or smart enough were given position and low places within the pack. This is the world Colin was born into. He was the fourth and youngest son of the current alpha, Christopher McAdams, and learned quickly that he was very different from his other siblings.
His mother was a pretty Korean girl with dreams of something more than what she could get across the Pacific. So she came to Washington to try and make a name for herself. She instead fell for the charms of Christopher and gave her everything to him, including her firstborn son. As custom and pack law, all sons are stolen from their mothers and raised at Cedar Grove Manor. She was paid a handsome sum of money and sent to the other side of the country with the promise of pictures to let her see her only child grow. Colin never knew his mother and never had the time to wonder about her.
His stature was small and being the son of an alpha meant little to the rest of the pack. He was bullied and picked on until he could learn to defend himself. But what he lacked in strength, he made up for in speed and cunning. He had a stronger sense of smell than the others and used that to give him the advantage. When he turned sixteen, he had his first change under the light of a full moon. It was painful and he remembers very little of it except for his father's words. Go with the pain, he had said, let it take you where you need to go.
It was then, after his first run that Colin had the full acceptance of the pack. Most don't survive their first change and getting attached has left many of them bitter from watching their friends and family die because they weren't strong enough. Each son had a specific role within the pack and Colin's was rightfully the Tracker. He kept tabs on every non-pack shifter in their territory and constantly went to Seattle to help his father conduct business and dealings with other pack families. He found out too late that many of them were displeased with the McAdams being on top. They came in the night, fully transformed and laid waste to the manor and any of his family inside.
Colin got a call from his second oldest brother and was told to run. There was no safe place for a McAdams in America anymore. It was the second time in his life that he felt alone and unsure. He didn't know his mother and couldn't turn to her for help or safety. So he grabbed his passports, moved his money to an offshore account and traveled. He heard of a place in Asia, a place that had opened its doors to many as the magic in the world started to fade. So that's where he decided to go, to Hong Kong. To Victoria Peak.
ABILITY
Because of Colin's smaller stature he is not as strong as most other shapeshifters but his sense of smell is greater. He's quicker on his feet (and paws) and can outrun them if need be. His usual fighting technique is to gain distance on his foe and then run at them quickly to launch his body into their to throw them off and get access to their neck or stomach. His wolf form has high similarities to to a Steppe wolf in size and coloring.
Allergic to silver. It takes longer for him to shift if he goes long periods without changing and can be stopped mid transformation. This results in him shifting back to his human form and being winded and exhausted for a period of time.
